The Strike is the lightest achievable penalty that is often dished out for the most minor offenses. The Strike is an accumulated penalty that, after achieving three consecutive Strikes, will result in an exile, rather than a continuous buildup. Strikes are logged within the database and reset every three months.
While the power of judiciary is vested in the Internal Tribunal Department, members of the Department of External Affairs may opt to appeal to High Command; if successful, the Strike will be expunged from their punishment record and database. It is to be noted that should they fail the High Command appeal, they continue to reserve their right to an appeal with the Tribunal.
The Formal Warning is the second lightest achievable penalty that is typically dished out for the baseline infractions. Formal Warnings, unlike Strikes, will not affect the employment of a Diplomat; rather, serve as a direct warning for future offenses.
However, the accumulation of Formal Warnings with no signs of improvement may result in higher consequences such as the implementation of a Zero Tolerance Policy or a harsher penalty like a Demotion. There is no set amount of Formal Warnings for the aforementioned, only the continuous accumulation of them with no signs of improvement (like previously iterated) will result in harsh consequences.
The Zero Tolerance Policy is a policy enacted in combination to any given penalty if deemed necessary by command. With the enactment of this policy for a certain amount of time, any personnel given this policy will be dished a much harsher than warranted penalty should they receive a penalty during this period.
By default, Attaches will be forced to comply with a mandatory Zero Tolerance Policy until their graduation. Similarly, all new Command members will be on a Zero Tolerance policy for 21 days. Any potential penalty they may receive, unless extremely minor, will be negated and instead exiled.
The Suspension is a moderately harsh penalty dished out for higher end infractions. During a Suspension, the punished individual is barred from participating in any department activities until they are served their sentencing. This does mean that Suspensions are temporary, though will persist on a record once completed.
The punished individual, as iterated, will be barred from department activities by being kicked from the server and group until they have served their sentencing, where they will then be allowed back in.
The Demotion is similar to the suspension in terms of severity as it’s also a moderately harsh penalty for higher end infractions. In contrast, a Demotion is a set-back by a certain number of ranks which is based on a case-by-case basis.
Should a member be ranked “Diplomat” and receive a Demotion, they will be set-back to Attache and will be required to complete the mandatory educational course that comes with it. In any other cases that do not result in a set-back to Attache, reeducation will be based on a case-by-case basis that focuses on the severity of the infraction.
An Exile is the harshest penalty that there is to be offered for offenders of the highest degree, having done great or considerable harm to the department. Having been removed, the punished individual must either appeal or apply back in another cycle in order to resume their employment.
Should an individual appeal successfully through the judiciary power vested in the Internal Tribunal Department, they will be given mandatory reeducation that will not be based on a case-by-case basis and will rather be absolutely mandatory upon reemployment.
The Blacklist is an extension to an Exile that temporarily (or permanently) bars an individual from reemployment within the department. This is reserved for only individuals who have done considerable harm to the department, surpassing even that of the Exile’s requisites.
The only way to resume employment is to appeal through the Internal Tribunal Department through rigorous trials and hearings. If successful, then the individual will not be reinstated unless otherwise ordered by the Tribunal; in that case will result in mandatory, exceptionless reeducation through the Academy Course.
